Synaptics, is renowned for the trackpads they make for notebooks/netbooks. Now they are releasing the Fuse, which is the “next-generation” mobile concept. They say that it is the future of user interaction for handsets. The concept phone has multi-touch capacitive sensing, 3-D graphics, haptic feedback, force, grip, and also proximity sensing. This device has been released due to the collaboration between Synaptics and four global partners – TheAlloy, The Astonishing Tribe (TAT), Immersion, and Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI). Synaptics also adds its ClearPad, NavPoint, and TouchButtons solutions to the concept. Immersion made possible the tactile feedback, ensuring an integrated and satisfying experience.
