China To Make 605 Million Mobile Phones This Year
China’s CCID Consulting released some information on the market saying that they are expected produce 605 million handsets in 2008 compared to the 550 million units produced in 2007.
205 units will be sold exclusively in the domestic market while the rest of 400 million will be send overseas. Nokia, Motorola, Samsung, Sony Ericsson and LG helped China to make in the H1 2008 no less than 279 million mobile phones. That’s 65% of total production.
On the other hand, China sold 96.4 million units in the January-June 2008 and that’s 17.5% higher from the last year percentage.
