Nexus S 4G Selling for $49.99 on Amazon

Amazon seems intent on selling as many phones as possible these days and they have yet another new deal on a mobile phone. This time it’s the Samsung Nexus S 4G, which is being sold for just $49.99, as long as you get a new two year contract with Sprint. If you’re already a customer and you’re just looking for an upgrade, it will cost you $99.99 to get your hands on the phone. The OS on the phone is the latest Android, the 2.3.4 Gingerbread. The phone is one of the few capable of using the NFC payments from Google.

The specs of the Samsung Nexus S 4G is a Hummingbird processor at 1GHz. It’s a thin phone which is easy to move around and its screen has vibrant colors and a high contrast. It also has 4G capabilities, allowing the user to use voice and data connections at the same time, so you can browse the web while you’re talking on the phone.

The screen is a Super AMOLED which measures 4 inches and it has a resolution of 480×800. There are two cameras on it, a 5MP main camera and a secondary model for video chat. [Learn more]

Samsung Droid Charge Will Be Released Tomorrow

The Samsung Droid Charge is expected to be released by Verizon Wireless tomorrow, after being delayed for a while because of outages of the 4G LTE network of the carrier. The price of the Samsung Droid Charge when released will be $299.99, as long as you get a new contract with Verizon for 2 years, plus a data and voice plan that is compatible with the phone.

The specs of the Samsung Droid Charge include an impressive 4.3 inch display which uses the Super AMOLED technology, with great visibility in the outdoors, good clarity and brightness. The Droid Charge has two cameras on it, a main one located at the rear, which has 8MP and LED flash, plus a secondary one in the front, which has 1.3MP and it works great for video chats. The phone also has a 1GHz processor and it’s compatible with Adobe Flash and the 4G LTE network. The OS on the phone is Android 2.2.

Samsung Galaxy S II Got 3 Million Pre-Orders Already

The success that Samsung had in the last years with Android smartphones can’t be disputed, and the Samsung Galaxy S was probably the most successful competitor for the iPhone, selling in over 10 million copies so far. The Samsung Galaxy S II, which is its successor, has already gotten 3 million pre-orders from carriers from all over the world, according to the manufacturer. The phone was already released in countries from around the world, though we don’t know yet when it will come to the United States.

The Samsung Galaxy S II comes with a Super AMOLED Plus touch screen with a size of 4.27 inches, a dual core CPU which runs at 1.2GHz, either 16GB or 32GB internal storage, two cameras (main one has 8MP which records at Full HD quality and the second one has 2MP, which can be used for conference calls). The version of Android available on the Galaxy S II is Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

The number mentioned above, of 3 million pre-orders, doesn’t include orders from the US, since pre-orders aren’t available here yet.

Samsung Corby II officially announced

After we learned that there will be a Galaxy Pro model focused on social networking, Samsung presents a new member of the Corby family. Known as the Samsung GT-S3850 or Corby II, the terminal was officially confirmed and comes with these specifications.

Corby II arrives with a new design, the classic TouchWiz interface, a social service and support for Microsoft Exchange Hub. Interesting is that this model integrates QuickType T9 keyboard available on many other Samsung models

Samsung Galaxy S2 – the new thinnest phone in the world

What you see below is the first official image from the Internet of the new Samsung Galaxy S2 , which comes with some very interesting information about the smartphone. Besides the fact that we are dealing with a dual core with a high-performance displays mobile, this is officially the thinnest phone in the world.

The previous thinnest phone in the world was Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc, with 8.7mm thick (the thinnest point at its middle) and Galaxy S2 has a thickness of only 8.49mm.

Samsung Gem – an Android 2.1 phone

While we prepare to welcome the first tablet that uses Android 3.0 in February, there are some launches of the phones that use Android 2.1. This is the case of Samsung Gem, which you can admire below, a model known as the SCH-i100.

So far the device has been found only with Verizon branding, so it remains to be seen if we will see the Samsung Gem in Europe. The features of this handset include Swype keyboard, plus social functions via Samsung Social Hub and JAVA games. Here is the list of specifications Samsung Gem:

Samsung II Wave S8530 a new Bada OS smartphone

Samsung just announced a new model based phone OS Bada, the Wave II S8530 that should not be confused with Wave 2 S5250.

Considered the successor of the Wave S8500, the Samsung S8530 Wave II is very much like the first model, but is slightly larger and has a higher inch diagonal display (3.7 inch WVGA). Interestingly, this display replaces the Super AMOLED screen on the Samsung Wave with a Super Clear LCD. Adopting this type of display appears to confirm the production problems that the Samsung AMOLED displays are facing.

Samsung Android Galaxy Spica

Among some Samsung Android devices presented mong the production Android devices presently languishing on pre-Donut are Galaxy Spica and the Galaxy, from Samsung. They have stock implementations on the platform. Nowadays, Samsung is claiming that the Spica (alias Galaxy Lite) is signed up for a 2.0 update in February. Now, Samsung Firmware maintains a vice-like grip on every conceivable Samsung ROM the second it’s released, and they also have some basis to be trusted on these matters.Of course, that buyers are now wondering why the company is sitting with the update and not releasing it much sooner.

Samsung Corby POP

Samsung’s Corby line seems to be targeting both the low and the high end of the market. Now Samsung is releasing the new Corby POP, a full touch device that is targeting the low end of the market. The phone is going to be launched in India and a 2.8-inch display, integrated FM radio (a must in the Indian market), and a weaksauce 1.3 megapixel cam (down from the Corby’s 2 megapixel unit). The phone will cost no more no less than an extremely reasonable 7,000 rupees (about $151) unsubsidized.

Samsung SCH-i899, Samsung GT-I6500U and Samsung GT-I8180C

Samsung is planning to release three new smartphones. It seems that the demand is increasing and the manufacturer is going to concentrate its efforts towards that. It seems that the three devices will appear on the Chinese market, next year. The first one will be the Samsung SCH-i899, launched by China Telecom supporting CDMA 2000 network. This is a nice looking Android smartphone with a 3.5-inch OLED touchscreen, a 3 Megapixel camera, GPS, Bluetooth support and WiFi. The GT-I6500U is also known as the Saturn. This comes with touchscreen, camera and WiFi. The Samsung GT-I8180C runs on Windows and comes with support for the TD-SCDMA network.
