LG Optimus 2X – the first dual-core processor smartphone in the world

After several weeks of speculation and appearances on the web, the LG dual-core terminal Star was officially announced by its manufacturer. The smartphone based on Nvidia Tegra 2 platform has a new branding, and it is known as LG Optimus 2X.

Under these conditions the purchase of a Samsung Nexus S seems no longer attractive, knowing that this phone will be launched next month in Korea and in Europe. The Nvidia Tegra platform 2 is a system-on-a-chip, which offers the advantages of a dual core CPU, high performance and low power consumption.

In addition, the phone supports video playback HD of 1080p, DLNA streaming and HDMI output. He is the list of specifications:

LG has officially announce a new tablet, based on Windows 7 and the Atom platform from Intel. The LG handset is called H1000B-Note and is available only in Korea for now, at a cost of 847 $.

The local operator KT is selling this tablet, which comes with the following specifications:

Processor: 1.1GHz Intel Atom Z510 / Z530 1.6GHz
Memory: 1GB RAM, 16GB SSD, SD slot
Connectivity: WiMAX (modem optional), Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi b/g/n, USB

LG Versace Unique – a luxury phone with the price of a car

LG Unique Versace is the newest luxury phone made by LG and ModeLabs, the designers that collaborated on the development of this smartphone announced in May this year. The handset will initially debut in India, where it will costs as a car: about 10,000 $.

The LG Versace Unique is the first phone to wear the Versace brand and that is made from expensive materials such as 18K gold, ceramic, stainless steel, alligator leather and sapphire crystal (display). We do not have many details about the specifications of the handset, but we know that this luxury phone supports 3G, comes with a 5 megapixel camera and Dolby Mobile audio system.

The LG Versace Unique will be available in three colors: black, brown and purple.

LG C900 Pacific ready to be launched

Revealed on the web in a series of images last week, the Windows 7 phone LG C900 will be launched initially in the U.S., through AT&T. Yet we find that this phone will not keep the name of C900, but will be renamed "Pacific."

This smartphone with QWERTY keyboard has received the FCC approval and the speculation say that the launch will take place on or around September 28. Besides the LG C900 Pacific, AT & T will launch three other Phone Windows 7: LG GW910, Samsung Cetus i917 and HTC T8788.

The PhoneDog editor, Noah has analyzed recently the LG Fathom handset. The LG Fathom is sold in the US by Verzion and the reviewer praised the fast processor, the resistive touch screen and the QWERTY quality keyboard.

The handset runs with Windows Mobile Professional 6.5.3, based on a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor.

LG Ally

LG is presenting the new QWERTY smartphone. The phone is named Ally. The new LG Ally runs on Android 2.1 OS. The Ally phone has been featured in an Iron Man 2-themed TV commercial and it has now it’s own site. The phone comes with a nice 3.2-inch touchscreen and a side-side QWERTY keyboard. You can expect the Ally to pack a 1GHz processor and GPS support, plus 3G and WiFi. No word yet on pricing but it will be launched on 20 May.

LG’s GW990

Intel and Nokia decided to be partners and to combine their Moblin and Maemo into a new Linux platform called the MeeGo. LG’s GW990 is probably the first device to based on the MeeGo. The GW990 has a long form factor packing a nice touchscreen. In terms of specs, it comes with 16GB of built-in flash memory and 512MB of RAM, with 720p video output possible should the 1020 x 480 screen resolution not be enough for you. The phone is sturdy and curved in all the right places, it’s an appealing device even if it suffers from a bit of an identity crisis.

One new hot mobile phone is coming on the shelves and it might just be the perfect Christmas gift. It is a slider the slider with a small projector placed cleverly inside. The full QWERTY slider has 1GHz CPU, a 3.2-inch touchscreen, a 5 megapixel camera, a microSD slot, and, as we expected, removable Texas Instruments projector. The phone has quite a strong resemblance to the Monaco model there were rumors about in May. eXpo has Windows Mobile 6.5, and you can get is from the 7th of December from AT&T on December 7th for $199, with a two year contract.
