Altek has presented at CommunicAsia 2010, the first mobile phone with a 14 megapixel camera.

The Altek Leo incorporates a 14 megapixel camera with LED flash, 3x optical zoom and wide angle lens. The handset support HD video capture (1280 x 720 at 30 fps) in H.264 format and ISO 3200 sensitivity. Altek Leo has al 3.2 inches display TFT display with a resolution of 480 x 800, a microSD slot card, WiFi 802.11n and Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR.

The handset will operate on GSM/GPRS/EDGE and UMTS/HSDPA and uses Android 2.1 upgraded to 2.2 version. The cameraphone will be available from the third trimester in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong at a price of 499 $.
